Born in Missouri as the youngest of eight children, you’ll hear Luttrell remember those formative years, and how he and his late wife, Doris, met and married as teenagers before moving west to California in 1941.

Drafted in 1942, he ended up in the U.S. Army Air Corps, learning welding skills for the repair and modification of aircraft.
