Russ Jenkins passed away March 8th, 2018 at the age of 92.

90-year-old Cecil “Russ” Jenkins of Hollister, CA appears on episode #393 of Hometown Heroes, debuting November 14, 2015. A native of Okemah, OK, Jenkins spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy, beginning as a 17-year-old during World War II.
Russ Jenkins still fits into his Navy uniform at age 90.
A taste of Jenkins’ musical ability on the guitar and the harmonica should be enough to prove that 90 is just a number for a man who still fits into his Navy uniform. There’s a very powerful reason this nonagenarian remains so engaged, active, and committing to serving others, and you’ll hear him explain that sentiment before we’re done.
I’m so glad you interviewed my dad for the show. I’ll always have this to remember him by. He’ll be gone 3 years tomorrow. He was the very best dad this girl ever had. Again, thanks so much!
