Episode #736 of Hometown Heroes, airing June 3-6, 2022 commemorates the 78th anniversary of “D-Day” and the invasion of Normandy, which launched June 6, 1944. Thanks to the efforts of the Best Defense Foundation, 29 World War II vets are in Normandy right now to mark the occasion, including some who fought for that very soil in 1944.
