96-year-old Joe Peterburs of Roseville, CA appears on episode #676 of Hometown Heroes, airing April 10-12, 2021. Born in St. Paul, MN and raised in Milwaukee, WI, Peterburs amassed 36 years of active military service before retiring as an Air Force colonel in 1979. His World War II service included 49 missions in P-51 Mustangs with the 20th Fighter Group.
