A special Pearl Harbor 75th Anniversary edition of Hometown Heroes features original radio clips from 1941, as well as two Pearl Harbor survivors who both returned to Oahu for the international observance on December 7, 2016.

Chester “Ski” Biernacki grew up in New Bedford, MA. Delton “Wally” Walling was the youngest of twelve children growing up in Belding, MI. They met in 2016 at the urging of Chace Anderson, who had interviewed them as part of a super series of veteran profiles for Friends & Neighbors magazine. Both Walling and Biernacki were at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and they both returned, along with Anderson, for the 75th anniversary.
