100-year-old Willard “Bill” Gillette of San Jose, CA appears on episode #558 of Hometown Heroes, airing January 10-13, 2019. A native of Kansas, Gillette completed 59 missions as a P-51 Mustang pilot with the 334th Fighter Squadron, part of the legendary 4th Fighter Group in World War II.
