Episode #516 of Hometown Heroes, airing March 23-25, 2018, focuses on the Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans event scheduled for April 28, 2018. You’ll hear from Denise Baronian, a driving force behind the event, as well as Smokey Rickerd, a 25-year Air Force veteran who flew 288 combat missions in Vietnam.
“April 28th is a day that we’re going to right a wrong in American history,” you’ll hear Baronian say, “We are wanting to bring our Vietnam veterans and give them an opportunity to experience the heroes’ welcome home that they never received.”
