94-year-old Kenneth “K.O.” Leach of Madera, CA appears on episode #659 of Hometown Heroes, airing December 19-21, 2020. A native of Maker, OK, Leach served aboard the destroyer USS Bristol (DD-857) during World War II.

I love listening to KO when he talks about his time in the Navy. Both KO and Bernice are so special, 73 years together and their love and faith in God is ardent. They are both a blessing to their family. Also, it’s nice to hear Josh’s words of wisdom, I’d like to give a loving thanks to his beautiful wife and children, who are apart of this strong family. I feel very privileged to know them. Love you so much KO and Bernice!
