97-year-old Al Gagliardi of Gilroy, CA appears on episode #723 of Hometown Heroes, airing March 4-7, 2022. The son of Italian immigrants and one of three brothers in uniform during World War II, Gagliardi served with the 10th Mountain Division’s 87th Infantry Regiment before transferring to the 147th Infantry Regiment.
